About Carriage Bolt
A carriage bolt has a smooth, domed head and a square neck under it. The neck locks into wood or a square hole, so the bolt does not spin while you tighten the nut.
The smooth head is safe to touch and hard to tamper with, which makes carriage bolts the choice for gates, benches, truck bodies, trailers and fencing. Available in zinc-plated MS, GI for outdoors and SS 304.
