Threaded rods and studs
Threaded rods (full thread rods, DIN 975) are threaded end to end and cut to any length. They are used for hanging pipes and cable trays with anchors and channels, for foundation and anchor bolts, and as long bolts through thick sections.
Studs are shorter rods, threaded at both ends or fully threaded, used on flanges, pumps, engines, dies and moulds, with a nut on each end.
Choosing the grade
- GI (hot-dip galvanised): outdoor and building services work where rust protection matters
- HT EN8: high strength for machinery and structural use
- SS 304: rust-free for water, food and outdoor use
- ASTM A193 B7 studs: high-temperature, high-pressure flange joints
We stock metric sizes and inch (BSW/UNC) sizes, and cut rods to length.
